Job Description:

Responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, and administering rehabilitative programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, improve function, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury.
Responsible for assessing the root cause of injury and implementing plan of care to prevent future reoccurrence of symptoms.
General Accountabilities
Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention.
Plan, prepare, or carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, or prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
Record prognosis, treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart or enter information into computer.
Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.
Administer manual exercise / therapy, massage, or manual or mechanical traction to help relieve pain, increase patient strength, or decrease or prevent deformity.
Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
Test and measure patient's strength, motor development and function, sensory perception, functional capacity, or respiratory or circulatory efficiency and record data.
Instruct patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home.
Will create home exercise program templates / slides /hand-outs for patients.
Confer with the patient, medical practitioners, or other appropriate parties to plan, implement, or assess the intervention program.
Will conduct lectures / workshops for pre-professional dance students at their school, educating students on injury prevention and self care.
Review physician's referral and patient's medical records to help determine diagnosis and physical therapy treatment required.
Will perform physical therapy services as described above on-site at and for professional dance companies, corporate accounts, entertainment venues, franchises, and any other venue the company sees fit.
Will serve as a Clinical Instructor if and when the opportunity arises.
Comply with professional, ethical, and legal standards.

Job Qualifications
Minimum Education: Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program.
Minimum Experience: At least 3 years' experience.
Certification: Current Physical Therapist state license.
Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist or working towards certification.
NAIOMT Certified Manual Therapist a MUST, or working towards completion of certification.
Knowledgeable or experienced in GYROTONIC, preferable but not required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Impeccable presence and detailed oriented
Degree is required or at least working towards one
computer skills a must
