MASSAGE THERAPIST JOB DESCRIPTION
Performs professional quality massage, within scope of practice and licensing (as applicable).
Creates excellent member/guest experience through friendly and helpful attitude.
Communicates with the interdisciplinary team in order to develop treatment plans, refer clients, and/or seek consultation.
Maintain detailed and accurate treatment records of clients
Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions
Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized clinic.
Assisting with keeping linens clean and tidy, and replacing them between sessions.
Accompanying guests to and from treatment rooms.
Maintaining records and filing documentation.
Complying with Clinic’s policies and procedures.
Assists in Front Desk duties,
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Minimum hours of massage therapy school and a certificate of completion.
2+ years' experience as a professional massage therapist
Adherence to all applicable local and state licensing laws and regulations related to the massage therapy services provided, including following any applicable law pertaining to maintaining current Massage License
Knowledge of and experience in performing Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage required, as well as knowledge of and experience in performing other soft tissue techniques.
Satisfactory results of background and reference check is a condition of employment in this position
Ability to perform massages on diverse clients
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficiency in office software, such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Express.
Great interpersonal skills
Dexterous and able to stand for extended periods
Ability to keep a well-groomed, professional appearance
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Keen attention to detail and a caring nature.
